What is the MHP Nurse Honor Guard?

The MHP Nurse Honor Guard, established in 2024 by a dedicated group of active nurses with the support of MHP, provides a special ceremony at the visitation or funeral of a deceased nurse. This service honors the life and dedicated service of the nurse. The ceremony is a gift to families, commemorating their loved one.

Additionally, the MHP Nurse Honor Guard offers Living Tributes and Honor Walks to nurses who have given the gift of organ donation. Families of nurses within the MHP Service Area can contact the hospital main line to request the MHP Nurse Honor Guard. Funeral homes will soon include this information when assisting families with funeral arrangements.
