The Shelby County Shrine Club has a long history of helping others, both at a national and local level. They strive to make an impact and better our community with their actions. They're always looking for ways to improve things for people, and this week they did something special for us at MHP!
The Shriners reached out to MHP and asked us what our patients in the Emergency Department, Pediatrics, and Maternity Care needed most. After talking it over, we shared with them that we often have young patients who come in and could use some extra clothes. Sometimes they come to us underdressed for the weather or need a change of clothing and being able to provide them with additional clothing would be yet another way we could help them.
Once hearing our need, the Shriners stepped up and donated bags full of clothes, from newborn sizes to size 14. Now, thanks to them, our young patients can leave MHP feeling cozy and taken care of. A large priority at MHP is to not only treat the patients for any medical needs, but to also treat them as a priority and impact their lives in the best ways that we can. This opportunity will allow that to happen!
We're so thankful to the Shelby County Shrine Club for their amazing generosity. This donation means a lot to us and to all the patients we'll be able to help in the future. Thank you, Shriners, for caring about our patients and making a real difference in our community!
