Nancy Dayhoff is getting a special birthday shout out for a good reason; she started a Facebook fundraiser asking for gifts to the MHP Foundation instead of personal gifts for her birthday. Wow!

Nancy set a goal of $550 and was astounded and pleased to see the total climb to $842. She said, "I didn't know if people would give to it or not, but they seemed happy to. It was amazing to watch the total climb." Nancy said she enjoyed the fundraiser and felt gratified seeing her friends support a cause that is dear to her.

"MHP is one of the county's best assets, and we should support it. I believe in MHP, and I loved seeing my friends support it in my honor. Those were very meaningful gifts to me."

When asked if she would recommend "donating your day" to the MHP Foundation by starting a birthday (or other special occasion) fundraiser, she replied with a resounding "yes". "It was easy", she said, "and I would encourage anyone to try it. It's such a nice feeling, and the gifts support an organization that we are so fortunate to have here. You can't go wrong!"
