MHP Incident Command Update

Inpatient unit: All 40 of our 40 beds are occupied on our 3rd-floor inpatient unit.
- We currently have 18 critical care patients on the 3rd floor, and 12 (67%) of those patients are due to Covid. Of the 12 Covid-related critical care patients, only three are vaccinated.
- We have ten patients on ventilators and eight of those patients are Covid positive. We have six additional patients who are on Vapotherm or BiPap, and four of those patients are Covid positive.
- Twenty-six (65%) of our inpatients are Covid positive, and 17 (65%) of them are unvaccinated.
Emergency Department: We transferred 3 pediatric Covid positive patients to a pediatric hospital on Christmas Day. The Emergency Department treated 83 patients on both Christmas Day and the day after Christmas; many with high acuity. We treated 60 patients in the Emergency Department on Sunday. Our ACC unit currently has 11 observation patients. We have 17 infusions scheduled today. And we have 31 doses of Regeneron remaining and no update on when additional supply will arrive.
Urgent Care and Walk-in visits: MHP Pediatrics had a high of 48 walk-in visits per day last week, but has already seen 30 patients as of 11:00 A.M. We are seeing some Covid positive cases, but also several seasonal flu cases. MHP Family & Internal Medicine has seen 35 patients so far and MHP Priority Care has seen 40 walk-in patients so far this morning.
