Major Health Partners is the recipient of the 2019 Connections Award from Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana. This award recognizes partner organizations that have supported Goodwill’s programs and mission. Major Health Partners collaboration with Goodwill marries MHP’s high-demand for a steady pipeline of clinical medical assistants with The Excel Center’s requirement to earn a credential that enables successful employment. Under the leadership of Rebecca Eberhart, RN, Major Health Partners has worked hard to create a customized and successful CCMA (Clinical Medical Assistant Certification) program, dedicating our own experienced and certified instructor, Kim Gilles, to ensure students are prepared for a career as a clinical medical assistant. Due to this partnership and its tailor-made program, other programs in the Excel Center network are looking to make changes to their curriculum changes to replicate this model. The first two groups of students in the program yielded an average rate of pay of $14.08 per hour and a 100% certification exam pass rate.
