SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WIBC) – For those living in Shelby County, it may take some time to get accustomed to driving to the new hospital facility since the old hospital building that just closed 3.3 miles away in downtown Shelbyville had been at same location for more than 90 years.
The Major Health Partners (MHP) Medical Center opened at 3 a.m. Sunday on the north side of Shelbyville at 2451 Intelliplex Drive, which is just north of I-74 Exit 113 at State Road 9.
The new building has replaced the existing Major Hospital facility at 150
W. Washington Street, which
first opened in April 1924.
