Preparation for Childbirth Class

The class has been developed as a 2 1/2-hour session briefly covering all the main topics of labor and delivery with opportunities for Q&A. There are discussions on what to expect with labor, delivery and after birth for you and baby at the MHP Maternity Care Unit. The recommendation is to attend the class during the third trimester of your pregnancy. Please bring any questions you have with you to class!

Classes are free, 2 1/2 hours in length, and are offered once every other month. Only one registration is needed per couple. Dress comfortably and feel free to bring snacks and drinks with you to class. Due to limited class size, pre-registration is required.

If you are unable to attend the in-person class time but would like more information on online options or have other questions, please call our perinatal educator at 317-421-1986. As an alternative, the classroom book can be given to you at one of your OB appointments upon request.
