The MHP pre-employment process requires:
- Annual influenza vaccination
- Criminal background check
- Drug testing
- Immunization requirements (see below)

Major Health Partners conducts background checks including but not limited to Criminal History, Medicare Fraud, License and/or Certification verifications. If any new employee fails any of the background checks conducted by Human Resources, the job offer may be rescinded based on information received.
Final candidates for employment, including rehires, will be required to complete an initial alcohol/drug screen and the results will be furnished to Human Resources. A positive result shall disqualify the applicant from employment. This applies to candidates for full-time, part-time or casual positions.
New staff member health screening is part of the pre-employment process and will be scheduled by Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. Immunity or proof of vaccination is required to Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella. Hepatitis A and B vaccinations will be offered. A two-step Tuberculin skin test is also required. If the new staff member can provide these records, no further testing may be necessary. If records are not available, titers will be drawn and vaccinations offered free of charge. In addition, MHP requires an annual influenza vaccination for all employees.
